Funeral services for Mr. C.W. Davis, 66, of Hughes Springs, will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 7, 2025, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Burial will follow at Flat Creek Cemetery.  There will be a time of visitation with family and friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral

C W Davis was born September 20, 1958, in Leonard, Texas, to G W Davis and Gladys Mae Cato Davis. He passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, at home in Hughes Springs.

C W spent many years working as a truck driver, a profession that reflected his hardworking and steady nature. Known for his love of fixing and tinkering, he had a gift for bringing things back to life with his hands. He also had a deep love of music, which brought him joy throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Ernest “Dub” Davis. C W is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mrs. Theresa Davis; daughter, Betty Davis-Pruitt (Kelly); son, Teddy Price (Christy); grandchildren: Brandon Davis Lindsey (Laura), Bailey Davis Kaplan, Brody Davis Pruitt, Boston Davis Pruitt; great-grandchildren: Jack Lindsey, and Bruce Lindsey; sister, Gladys Rowe, Jennifer Johnson; brother, Howard Ebert.

C W will be remembered for his resourcefulness, his quiet determination, and the way he found purpose and joy in simple things.
