Carla Vernette Fitzgerald, 63, of Hughes Springs, Texas passed away on August 9, 2021.  Mrs. Fitzgerald was born June 16, 1958 in Hughes Springs, Texas to Donald Royce Williams and Joyce LaVerne Shaddix Williams.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Fitzgerald; son, Joseph Fitzgerald (Cristy); father, Donald Royce Williams; sisters, Karen Jones (Jerry), Laurie Latham (Dana), Debbie Gregory; grandchildren, Hunter and Trapper Fitzgerald, Shelby, Cali and Brody Freeman; cousin, Darlene Gilmore; sisters-in-law, Terry Ann Kraner, Brenda Sue Price; brother-in-law, Billy Ray Fitzgerald and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Laverne Williams; son, Jason Fitzgerald; one brother, Donald Glynn Williams and brother-in-law, Jim Bob Fitzgerald.

Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 12, 2021 in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Trevino and Bro. Mike Stewart.  Burial will follow in the Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.

There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

    Carla was a an amazing person and cousin. She was the go to person for all things photo, video and family history. We are all going to miss her. I wish i could be present for the service to honor her but I just cant get time off during the week. I send my prayers for you, hunter, trapper and joseph. All of our love,

  14. I'm so sry I'm not there yal know yal are all in my heart and on my mind. But being on oxygen the heat is not my friend. I remember when we all played on the canon after church and how I Used to go over Josh's house and we would all play between church services.   15. My heart is broken at the loss of this very sweet woman. Carla was always the sweetest person to be around when we were in school. My prayers go out to Jerry, their children and grandchildren. I am so sorry for this loss.
