LINDEN TXCarole Sue Strickland, 74, of Linden passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 at her home in Linden. She was born April 24, 1939 to Dewey and Dodie Arnold Wright. She was a home maker. Survivors include her husband, Barney Strickland of Linden; two sons, Victor Dean Strickland of Conroe and Joe Don Strickland of Hughes Springs; six grand children, Brandon Dean Strickland of Hughes Springs, Steven Michael Strickland and Stephanie Jade Strickland of New Orleans Louisiana, Darcie Strickland and Samantha Jo Strickland of Longview; four great grandchildren, Tyler Ray Harris Strickland, Easton Dean Strickland, Alyssa Bow Strickland and Allye Brooke Strickland all of Hughes Springs; two brothers Rodney A. Wright of Hughes Springs and Gary Don Wright of Linden; one special niece, Ashley Rachelle Haines; many other family members and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 7, 2013 in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden with Bro. Jerry McKellar officiating. Sorry for your loss. Carole Sue was a great lady and an awesome friend. and we had lots of laughs together. I loved here very much.
