Chuck was born on February 18, 1950, in Clarksville, Texas, to James and Lola Faye Jackson. He married the love of his life, Kay Jackson, and together they shared 55 wonderful years.
A man of strong faith, Chuck loved the Lord and was a devoted member of Mercy Culture in Daingerfield.
Chuck spent over 50 years working as a truck driver, retiring from Pilgrim’s Pride. His strong work ethic carried over into every part of his life. After retirement, he poured his energy and love into his favorite pastimes. He was happiest when working with his hands, whether tinkering in his shop, crafting beautiful wood projects, or tending his yard and garden. Chuck took great pride in his woodworking skills, building sturdy toy boxes for his grandchildren and creating handcrafted domino sets, board games and other treasures for family and friends to enjoy. Every piece he made was a labor of love, a lasting symbol of his devotion to his family.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Mark Jackson and Ricky Jackson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kay Jackson of Hughes Springs; his children, Sandra Smoak and husband Gregory of Hughes Springs, and Rodney Jackson of Hughes Springs; as well as his beloved nephew who was more like a son, Adam Jackson and wife Lisa of Hughes Springs; grandchildren, Amanda Marxsen and husband Joey of Vicenza, Italy, Alisha McKinney and husband Jonathan “Blake” of Hughes Springs, and Amelia Smoak of Hughes Springs; great-grandchildren, Jaxson Marxsen, Laura Lynn McKinney, Beckham McKinney, and Rowan McKinney; his brother, James Jackson and wife Janice of Hughes Springs; sisters-in-law, Linda Jackson of Edgewood, Texas, and Bobbie Mings of Van, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
