Charles Wayne Griffin

Funeral services for Charles Wayne Griffin, 84, of Daingerfield, will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2015 at Reeder-Davis Chapel. Burial will follow at Clark Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Mr. Griffin was born January 21, 1931 in Daingerfield and passed away February 16, 2015 at a Longview hospital. He worked in the trucking industry and was a veteran of the US Navy. Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Dottie Griffin; and his parents, Chestley and Opal Griffin. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Rod Ward, Susan and Troy Downs; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Dona Dishaw; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren; one sister, Glenda Martin; and a special cousin, Dean Knight. There will be a time of visitation from 6 until 8 Thursday evening at the funeral home.
