Charles Weeks

Services for Charles Weeks, 82, of Daingerfield, will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Pine Bluff Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Reynolds Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Mr. Weeks will be available for viewing from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Charles Robert Weeks was born on January 21, 1937 in Morris County to the late Connell and Leona Grant Weeks and passed away April 10, 2019 at his home in Daingerfield. Charles received his education from Rhodes High School in Daingerfield.  At an early age he joined and faithfully attended Shady Baptist Church Cason, Texas.  Charles married Thelma Lafayette, and to this union five children were born. In 1995 he married Lula Washington. Together, they faithfully attended Pine Bluff Baptist Church until his health failed.

He was preceded in death by parents; one brother, James Weeks; one sister, Ricky Faye Spraglin.

Charles is survived by his wife, Lula Washington Weeks; children, Charles and Linda Simmons of Mckinney, Thilia and David Brown of Daingerfield, Sammy Lafayette of McKinney, Tonya Simmons of McKinney, Lillie Simmons of Wichita Falls, Mitchell Tricenda Simmons of Longview, Vanessa Simmons Anderson and Marvin of Lone Star, and Chris Spraglin; sister, Jackie and Raymond Holloman of Hughes Springs; brother, Willie Weeks of Fort Worth; eleven grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; seven sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends.

His memories will forever be cherished by his wife Lula, children, stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, and brother.
