Charlotte Shepard

Charlotte Ann Shepard, 65, of Ore City, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 18, 2015, at her home having lost her battle with cancer. Charlotte was born March 27, 1950 to Kenneth William Mentzel and Bonnie Jean Mentzel in Dallas, Texas. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Ron Shepard; son, Steven Stutsman and his wife, Susy of Florida; daughter, Shanna Spence and her husband, Darrell of Longview; son, Kenneth Stutsman and his wife, Misty of Jenkins; son Brian Stutsman and his wife, Amanda from Liberty City; brother, Kenneth Mentzel of Georgetown; sister, Cheryl Bobo and her husband, Robert of Gilmer; brother, Carl Mentzel and wife, Jackie of Austin. She has 9 grandchildren, many step-children and step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother James Kurt Mentzel. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Grace Crossing Church in Longview, with Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City handling arrangements. The family wishes to thank Dr. Hodges, Dr. Taylor, and Dr. Frase of Texas Oncology. Special thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice staff, nurses and nurse aids for the loving care given.
