Services for Claudine Whitmore, 97, of Daingerfield will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Reynolds Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Ms. Whitmore will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

A loving, sweet soul has made her transition and has started her new life in Christ. She was a treasure trove of history. New Hope has lost another mighty warrior in the faith, but to die in the Lord is gain. Take your rest, woman of God.
"Mama Claudine" will always hold a very special place in my heart! She was an exceptional woman with a caring and loving spirit.
She taught me my love for cooking as she would let me cook with her. We had many good times in the kitchen. I am so sorry to hear of her loss.
