Services for Mr. Clifford Steely, Jr., 89 of Daingerfield, will be 11:00 a.m. Monday September 22, 2014 at Jenkins United Methodist Church, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home of Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 6:00-7:30 Sunday the funeral home. Mr. Steely was born July 23, 1925 in Houston, Texas and passed away September 19, 2014. He was a Veteran of WWII, the 27 Infantry Division with service on Guam and Okinawa and retired from Lone Star Steel as Director of Personnel. Mr. Steely was a member of the American Legion Post 351 and served on the Honor Guard. He was a Mason, Volunteer Fireman ,and served on the Jenkins Improvement Association. He is survived by his loving wife, Wynell Steely; daughter, Susan Steely and fianc Randall Swearingen; 1 son; Michael Patrick Steely; 3 step sons; Tony Mack Smith and wife Kim, Jody Smith and wife Heidi, Kelley Smith; 6 grandchildren; Chris Steely and wife Kristine, Madison Naymola and fianc Harris Swain, Holly Derrick and husband Lance, Heather Baker and husband David, Katie Wylie and husband Russell, and Tanner Mack Smith; 4 great-grandchildren; Summer, Mackenzie, Maddie, and Payton; sister, Sheri Persons & the late Jim Persons. 2 nephews; Tim Persons and wife Linda, and Jim Persons Jr.; 2 great nieces; Ashleigh Persons, and Autumn Persons.
