On February 14, 1937 Mother Cynthia Everett was born, the 3rd in line of 6 children, to Leonard and Johnnie Mae Bogan-Johnson in the Daingerfield and Mt. Pleasant areas. Her parents; four siblings; and one daughter preceded her in death.
Mother Cynthia attended schools in the Daingerfield and Mt. Pleasant School Systems and graduated from the Booker T. Washington High School Mt. Pleasant, TX, class of 1956. She married the love of her life, Levern "Seven" Everett, on October 28,1955. She worked and retired in 1999 from Days and Zimmerman Lone Star Ammunition Plant in New Boston, Texas. Mother Cynthia was added to the Faith Temple Church Of God In Christ-Daingerfield, TX in 1955. She remained a faithful member from her wedding day till she was called home. Mother Everett loved the Lord and served our church under the leadership of Superintendent L. C. and District Missionary Laura Castleberry. As an Assistant Sunday School teacher to Junior Class, a Financial Secretary, Assistant Secretary of the Helping Hand, and member of the Gift Committee, she continued to serve on the Gift Committee under the leadership of Superintendent Alfred C. and Missionary Rosetta Key and is a member of the Mothers Board, until now, under the leadership of Pastor Alfred C. and Sister Karen Key, Jr. Mother Everett possessed the spirit of I Peter 3:4 " But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price." She and her
Sister-in-law Mother Juanita Evans traveled with the church far and near even to the Holy Convocation in Memphis, TX and dressed in their beautiful attire, especially the hats. As a Proverb 31 woman she especially loved her husband, their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, providing, cooking for them as well as sharing with family and neighbors.
