Mrs. Daisy Jean Peters-Watson was born February 28, 1930. She was the youngest child of Robert RQ and Florence Peters, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a devoted Christian wife of over 50 years to Jimmie Watson and mother of a beautiful daughter, Gail Watson. Both preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her brothers, Albert AP Peters, Joe Peters; and sisters, Doris Peters-Mangram and Murlene Peters-Williams. Daisy was a kind hearted lady, generous spirit, and always opened her home to family and friends. She truly loved her family and enjoyed fishing and cooking. She leaves to cherish her memories: a grandson, Tevar Watson (Tameka); great-grandchildren, Dasia, Sean, Chad, and Jacob Watson, and Saniah Boston. Also her favorite cousin, Henry Lee Peters; special friend, Sam Spraglin; and nephew she referred to as her boy, Bill Peters, who traveled with her to East Texas when she relocated to Cason, Texas. Bill was her chauffer, care giver, a good listener, and Aunties best friend. Daisy and Jimmie were entrepreneurs and co-owners of several Dallas, Texas based businesses including Daisys Beauty Salon, Jimmies Liquor Store, and Watsons Cafeteria. They were always diligently helping individuals and organizations in the Dallas Metroplex. Funeral services for will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Shady Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral home in Hughes Springs.
