Dale Bruce Carrier passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025, surrounded by love and family. Born on April 19, 1943, Dale lived a remarkable life marked by grit, intelligence, and a heart that beat fiercely for the people he loved.
A proud Navy veteran, Dale served aboard the USS Lake Champlain during the historic recovery of America’s first astronaut, Alan Shepard. His time in the Navy left an indelible mark on him and reflected the courage and precision he carried throughout his life.
After his military service, Dale made a name for himself across many paths—always bringing determination, charm, and technical brilliance to the table. Whether working in fine dining on the beaches of Florida or building his own computers long before it was common, Dale had an uncanny ability to teach himself complex systems and innovate solutions that saved time, money, and frustration. While working as the Commissary Manager at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, Dale wrote a custom Excel program that helped streamline logistics and saved the airport tens of millions of dollars. He approached every job with a problem-solver’s mind and a servant’s heart.
Above all, Dale was a family man. After meeting the love of his life, Patricia Anne Brown, the two built a life rooted in love, growth, and generosity. Together, they raised their daughters, Trisha Lynn Carrier and Christina Faith Carrier, and opened their home to foster children for over a decade—providing stability and care to over 100 children. Dale’s commitment to fatherhood extended well beyond bloodlines—he believed in showing up, offering guidance, and always making room at the table.
Dale had many passions. He was a talented pool player, a professional Tennis player, a tech whiz, a car enthusiast who rebuilt his beloved Firebird, and a devoted music lover who filled his daughters’ childhood with road trips and rock and roll. He was a co-founder and major shareholder of the Port Aransas Computer Center and proudly served as a public transit driver for the City of Port Aransas, where he received a formal commendation for heroically assisting an elderly passenger in distress.
His greatest pride came from being present for his family. In his final years, Dale found renewed joy in holding his grandson, Solomon. Even when his health declined, his eyes still lit up when his family entered the room.
Dale is preceded in death by his beloved wife Patricia and siblings Dennis and Teresa. He is survived by his daughters Trisha and Christina; his son, Darrell Carrier; his sister, Sharon Allen; his grandchildren; and many others who were touched by his generous heart and loyal spirit. Each carry pieces of his humor, wisdom, and immeasurable strength.
He will be remembered as a father, a veteran, a builder, a protector, and above all, a man who never stopped fighting to give his family a better life.
