Mr. Daniel Weaver Jr., was born to Mr. Daniel Weaver Sr. and Mrs. Lillie Mae Weaver Parker on December 21, 1966 in Atlanta, Texas and passed away, Friday, September 11, 2015. He was raised up in the Roach Church of God In Christ. He was educated at Atlanta High School and graduated in 1986. Daniel attended UTI College in Houston, TX. He enlisted in the United States Army on August 11, 1986 . Daniel was an Airborne Ranger Para-Trooper stationed in Vicenza Italy. He toured many countries and served with the Peace Keeping Troops in Iraq. After completing his assignment overseas, Sgt. Weaver returned back to Fort Benning, GA and was an Airborne Instructor, teaching and training other men and women to jump from planes. Daniel was with Delta Co. 1st Battalion (ABN) 507th Infantry. Sgt. Weaver was a Black hat. Airborne Instructor for the U.S. Army Airborne School from July 1994 to September 1996. He received an honorable discharge for his service to his country on September 11, 1996. After proudly serving his country and receiving many honors, recognition and medals, he moved to Omaha, Nebraska in 1996 and worked Security for Woodman Tower. Later he worked as an Asphalt Tech. Mr. Weaver was also called, Weabo and Dusty. He was a loveable and peaceable person that really loved children and they really loved him. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. Coy James, his father Mr. Daniel Weaver Sr., many uncles, aunts and cousins. He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife Mrs. Monica Weaver and son Joseph Daniel Weaver of Castle Franco Italy. His loving mother, Lillie J. Parker of Nash, TX. Sisters and brothers: Lisa Dickerson of Douglasville, GA, Veloria Weaver of Lewisville, TX, Redell Parker of Marietta, GA, George Weaver of Bennington, NE, Daniel Winston Weaver, of Nacogdoches, TX, Claudette Andrews of Houston, TX, Sheila Davis (Glen) of Atlanta, GA, Lige Ray Weaver, Curtis Ray Weaver (Tina), Winston L. Weaver, Cathy Weaver, Theresa Weaver-Singh, Paul Weaver, James Weaver, Charles Weaver (Coco), Alfred Weaver, all of Los Angeles, CA, Ann Edwards of Dallas, TX. Uncles: Elmer & Arthalia James and Elder B.C. & Ethel Lee James Sr. of Atlanta, TX. Vealer Wright of Omaha, NE, Glenda Smith of Atlanta, TX, and Corrine & James Smiley of Los Angeles, CA. He also leaves a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Services will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Roach Church of God in Christ,720 Cr 1110 Atlanta, TX and under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. Burial will be held on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the National Cemetery in Arlington, TX. There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 till 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the church.

  1. I so remember you back in Vicenza in the late 80s. You always had a smile on your face. May you be smiling down on your airborne family now. Rest in Peace.

  2. My condolences for the Weaver family. I went to school with Daniel 1st-12th in Atlanta. He was always a wonderful, funny guy who was great to be around. I thank God for men like him to step up and serve this country the way he did. I am certain he will be sorely missed and I pray for comfort for Daniels family and friends, knowing he is in the presence of our Lord and Savior.

  4. I am so sorry that I will not be able to attend the funeral. However, I want to publicly tell my family that I love you all. I had just talked to Daniel on one of my trips to Atlanta and he had me rolling. He was/is one of the wackiest people that I have ever known. He will never be forgotten. Cousin Sis rember that as a family we PRAISE our way through storms!

  5. Nothing but fond memories from Basic training and the next five years. We laughed together, made fun of each other and often offended each other with racial jokes and slurs. We fought back to back and hated each other. Or so we said. Ill miss you my Airborne Brother..God Speed

  6. Where can one begin when all I have is some of the most hilarious memories ever to be had and sure enough Weaver was always in it. From basic training and him plowing over the drill instructor during the gas chamber and I was in tow…. to us in Airborne school….that damn dog and him and I chasing it…. to us in 2nd Platoon 3rd Squad ….. who could out drink who…. or when we would go to the club and the bet was on for who would be helping who home…. We marched together… We lived together…. We laughed together….We jumped together… and as brothers do… We fought together but we were brothers…. May you rest in peace and we will meet up one day at the gates of heaven…. Weaver you may be gone from this earth but you will always be in my memories and all of my stories!! YOU made Bravo Company 3rd 325th ABCT one of the best damn things on the block as 1SG Lane always told us…. Airborne All the way my brother….. Airborne…. Salute…

  7. I did not know you personally but Im sure we walked,work and played on the same grounds more than once. It sadden me to her of your loss and I know you will be definitely be missed by many. I salute you my brother. R.I.P. Frome Sailor to Soldier !!! Never forgotten !!!

Weav was always there to help when needed and helped square me away as a cherry in Bravo Company 3/325, I will always remember his infectious smile, ad his laugh. to those he left behind, I pray for the Lords Comfort and Guidance during this time.
