Funeral services for Mr. Danny Whatley, 74, of Linden, Texas, will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2025, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. Burial will follow at Corinth Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation with family and friends beginning one hour prior to service time Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Danny Whatley passed away Wednesday November 19, 2025. He was born May 15, 1951, in Beaumont, Texas, to Hugh and Jo Whatley. Danny earned his master’s degree in Accounting and dedicated over 20 years of service to Red River Army Depot, working in Central Accounting.

Danny was an avid golfer and a devoted sports fan. He loved the outdoors and could often be found enjoying nature, spending time with those he loved, or cheering on his favorite teams.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Marty and Pam Whatley; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Edd Hargett, and Kathy and John David Russell; and six nieces and nephews: Amy Furman, Tedd Hargett, Thad Hargett, John Paul Russell, Ben Russell, and Julia Russell. He also leaves behind numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and other cherished relatives.
