Funeral services are for David McDaniel, 74, of Lone Star, will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Lone Star. Burial will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 6 until 8 Sunday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Davis McDaniel was born April 5, 1940 in Cass County and passed away November 25, 2014 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, Angela McDaniel Vercher. He is survived by one daughter, Diana Gamel and husband John; one sister, Ann Duke; one brother, James Norbrate McDaniel; four grandchildren, Wesley Nixon, Amber McDaniel, John Gamel, Jr., Jeremy Vercher; two great-grandchildren, Trently Gamel and Milana McDowell.
