Della Mae Whitaker

Services for Della Whitaker, 80 of Gilmer, will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Apostle James Morrow officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. of Hughes Springs. Ms. Whitaker was born September 18, 1933 and passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 in Gilmer. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant. She is survived by a son, Tommie Whitaker of Gilmer; two brothers, Elijah Anderson of Gladewater and Simon Anderson, II of Gilmer; two sister,s Mavaughan Veal of Tyler and Ada finch of Gilmer; grandsons, Kerry Whitaker, Terry Whitaker and Kivean Coffey; and a special niece, Vicki Berry of Gilmer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Whitaker; two brothers, Gene Anderson and Elisha "Scoop" Anderson of Gladewater; and three sisters, Luella Robertson, Maggie Lou Kelly and Virgia Anderson.
