Demisa Gene Phillips

LINDEN-Demisa Gene Phillips, 50, of Linden, passed away January 5, 2013 in a Longview Hospital. She was born June 4, 1962 to James and Carrie Fant. She had a Masters Degree in Special Education and taught at Paul Pewitt ISD. Survivors include her husband Michael Phillips; two daughters, Brenda and Robyn Phillips, both of Linden; one brother, Frank Fant; one granddaughter, Andrea Phillips, an expectant second granddaughter, Allisyn Phillips; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Brenda and Lewis Wood; two brother-in-laws, Eddie Phillips and his wife Kella of Atlanta; , and Randy Phillips and fianc Erica Barnett of Wichita Falls; one sister-in-law, Jennifer Givens and her husband, Michael, of Texarkana, Arkansas; nieces and nephews, Justin, Josh, Marie, and Chris Phillips, Cade Givens, Nicole Fant and Dylan Hodges; and great nephew, Alex Phillips. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law Todd Phillips; Father-in-law, James Hunt and best friend Wiley Carpenter. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Reeder-Davis-Schindler Chapel, with Bro. Bryan Baggett, officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m.
