Dennis Elton Hatten

February 6, 1959 ~ March 3, 2016
Den was born on February 6. 1959 in O11a, Louisiana. He was the fifth child of Frances and Alfred Hatten.
Den was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Hatten; and brother, Lotus Andrew Hatten.
He is survived by his mother, Frances Hatten; children, Den, Jr., and Cody; ex-wife, Brenda Hatten Roark; brothers, Gene, Jerry, and Earl Hatten; and many relatives, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Den loved laughter and would do almost anything to make people laugh. Thats part of how he got the nick name Crazy. He was definitely one of a kind
Den loved his family, friends, his dog, Anna, and his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He loved helping others and just had a way of drawing people to him. When Den made a friend, it was for a lifetime.
In his last months of life he drew close to his Lord and Savior Jesus. In those months he truly found the peace that scripture tells us we can have only when we draw close to God. He loved bibles, his church, and gospel music.
Den is a true example of how God can change a person. Den is at peace.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Reeder-Davis Chapel with Bro. Ben Terry officiating. Burial will follow at Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 6 until 8 Saturday at the funeral home.
