Guestbook

  1. One of the most industrious ladies I have ever known! Aunt Doris devoted her life to serving – go "rest" high on that mountain!!!

  2. Sorry to hear this but she lived a life for the Lord. She was such an encourager and influence on my life as a young mother. God blessed our family through her.~~George and Cecille Finley

  3. One of the best women I ever knew. Her humor and her love for the Lord and Uncle Garland was apparent in every thing she said and did. She is now with both of them, we will miss Aunt Doris.

  4. "A piece of my HEART Lives in Heaven." To one of the most faithful women I have ever known. First and foremost, she loved the Lord. Then she love her husband, my granddaddy, Garland Floyd till the very end. I will never forget her dressing up all in "red" on Valentines' Day not to long ago saying she dressed up for Garland today because he loved red. As always she was holding a small pillow that someone had made for her with a picture of Garland as a young man. I don't think that pillow ever left her sight and everyone knew that he was the love her of life. She also loved her only daughter, my mom, Grace Ann Childree. I remember how she always prayed for my mom to have a wonderful life and how blessed she was that she found Ronnie Childree. She always talked about what a good man he was. And it goes without saying that she loved my brothers and me and all the rest of her family and friends. I can't even begin to count the number of times she carried food over to the house of a sick friend. My grandmother never was a rich women in a worldly sense and she worked hard for what she had. But in the end, she was one of the "riches in heart" because she loved and lived as Jesus instructed her too and she did it very well! Stronger then you ever thought you were! I love you and will miss you dearly. Until we meet again, your granddaugher Sissy (Terry Ann Childree Maiale) July 26,2016.
