Doyce Elmer Turner, 71, of Linden passed away, Monday, June 15, 2015. Mr. Turner was born January 19, 1944 in Cass County to Elmer Turner and Vela Sheffield. Doyce served his country proudly in the United States Army. Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Carolyn Turner of Linden, TX.; two daughters and son-in-laws; Shannon and Jeff Williams of BelAir, MD., Tressa and Clay Garrett of New Boston, TX.; two sisters, Donna Ayers of Atlanta, TX., Dixie Webster of Linden, TX.; five grandchildren, Evan Fitts of Corsicana, TX., Kailee Fitts of BelAir, MD., Ashton Hill of Mt. Pleasant, TX., Emileigh Garrett and Carah Garrett of New Boston, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Darin Hill. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 20, 2015 in the Chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden with Bro. Phil Starrett officiating. Burial to follow in the Center Grove Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. There will be a time of visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the Center Grove Cemetery Association, c/o Relda McMillon, P.O. Box 1511 Linden, TX. 75563 and the Veterans Inc., 69 Grove St. Worcester, MA 01605.
