Dr. Bryan David Baggett, 60, of Linden, TX went to be with the Lord, on May 2, 2022. Bryan was born on May 20, 1961 in Ponca City, Oklahoma and was chosen by Terence and Patricia Baggett of Albuquerque, New Mexico.  

Bryan attended Manzano High School in Albuquerque, NM where he graduated in 1979.  He completed his undergraduate studies at Wayland Baptist University, then went on to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas where he received his Masters of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry.  Bryan served in ministry for over 34 years.  He served as Youth and Music Minister at First Baptist Church in Bogota, TX for 7 years and Pastor at Pinecrest Baptist Church in Linden, TX for 27 years.

Bryan is preceded in death by his parents, Terence and Patricia Baggett and his in-laws, Bobby and Jacqueline Barnes.

Bryan is survived by his precious wife, Susan of 34 years; his daughter, Brittany Grider and husband Drew Grider of Linden, TX, his son, Bryson Baggett and wife Meghan Baggett of Linden, TX; his two granddaughters, Molly and Lilly Grider; his sister, Barbie Gradner and husband Don Gradner of Albuquerque, NM and sister-in-law, Brenda White and her husband Robert White of Powderly, TX; nieces and nephews, precious friends and family of Pinecrest Baptist Church, extended family and many brothers and sisters in Christ.

Bryan’s love for the Lord shined through all aspects of his life. He also loved golfing, watching sports, announcing football games, track meets and baseball games for Linden - Kildare, eating strawberry Blue Bell ice cream, and being with family and church family.  

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Pinecrest Baptist Church in Linden, TX with Bro. Doug Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pinecrest Baptist Church.

  9. I knew Bryan as my youth pastor in Bogata and he was one of the best youth pastors I ever had. My thoughts and prayers go out to Susan and his kids and the whole family.

As a Methodist, I didn't know Bryan as well as his congregation knew him, but I am clearly aware of the love his congregation had for him, and his reputation as a very fine man and a beloved Minister. He will be missed by many in this town, as well as by those he served in others cities. May he rest in eternal peace.

  12. Bro. Bryan was a special man! I know he is enjoying being with Jesus, and I bet he has already found my Daddy and given him a BIG HUG for us too! Our family loves the Baggetts and will continue to keep each of you in our thoughts and prayers. The days are a little bit harder but we have HOPE that we WILL see him again! Love you guys!
