Eda Louise Hodge
July 2, 1932 ~ January 31, 2018
Eda Louise Hodge, 85, of Atlanta, Texas passed away January 31, 2018. Mrs. Hodge was born on July 2, 1932 in Ozona, Texas to W.T. Goodson and Mildred Louise Smith Goodson and was an only child. She attended school at Ozona until her senior year when she moved to Big Lake Texas in Reagan County. Louise graduated from high school in May 1949. She attended nursing school and graduated from business school in March 1951. She worked for the Ford Motor company as a bookkeeper and later she worked for the Tyson Chicken Plant in Berryville, Arkansas for 20 years as a security guard until her retirement.
Louise was a member of the Maud Church of Christ and served her Lord faithfully for many years.
She met Calvin Glen Hodge on July 1, 1951 and they were married on December 24, 1951.
Survivors include her loving husband, Calvin Hodge of Atlanta, TX and one son, David Glen Hodge of Atlanta, TX.
Services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Linden Church of Christ with Jay Launius and Billy Hunt officiating. Burial to follow at the Bear Creek Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.
There will be a time of visitation from 3:00 until 5:00p.m., Saturday evening at the funeral home.
