Eddie Alan Nelson, 76, of Linden passed away surrounded by his loving family on June 16, 2020. Mr. Nelson was born November 17, 1943 in Linden, Texas to Morris Nelson Jr. and Jessie Dell Tramel Nelson.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mary Beauchamp of Linden, TX; children, Shannon Kendrick of Jefferson, TX, Stephanie Smith of Quitman, TX, Robert Beauchamp, Johnny Beauchamp both of Linden, TX, Julie Davis; five grandchildren, Miles Kendrick and wife, Amanda, Courtney McClain, Matthew and Mattison Smith, John Beauchamp; two great-grandchildren, Eli Kendrick, Charley Faye McClain; sister, Paula Kay Insua of Winterhaven, FL; half brother, Michael Nelson of Houston; and one aunt, Lynn Cates of Hughes Springs, TX and numerous other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Morris Nelson, Jr. and Jessie Dell Hall; half-brother, Steven Hall; and one half-sister, Mary Lynn Hall.
Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday June 18, 2020 at the Linden Cemetery and under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.
There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
