Elbert O'Dell Cannon

Services for Elbert ODell Cannon, Sr. of Hughes Springs, will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Oakridge Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 6-8 Saturday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Cannon was born February 15, 1942 in Linden and passed away October 6, 2015 at his home. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served as a Drill Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Vada Cannon; one sister, Pansy Lambert; two brothers, Joe Dean Cannon and Ronnie Cannon. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Marie Cannon; two sons, Elbert Cannon, Jr. and Clarence Cannon; four grandchildren, Devin Renne Cannon, Baylee Lenora Cannon, Dakota Cannon, and Kaylin Cannon; two great-grandchildren, Riklynn Richard and Kamden Richard; two step-daughters, Marie White and Suzanne Morris; step-grandson, Thomas Dean White; sister, Nell Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
