Era Ann Crossland

Mrs. Era Ann Crossland, 77 of Avinger, was born November 20, 1944 in the Pruitt Lake Community to William Booker and Rosie Hagood McKinney. She married Ray Crossland on April 20, 1963 in Daingerfield, Texas. Mrs. Crossland was a pianist and Sunday school teacher for many years at Pruitt Lake and First Baptist Church of Avinger. She served as a Den Mother, and assisted anyone in need. Mrs. Crossland loved her family, friends, and her fur babies. She worked many years for the Cass County Sheriff's office, Linden Municipal Hospital, Dollar General, Jordan Health Service, and many other jobs.
Mrs. Crossland was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Pete McKinney; father and mother-in-law, Albert and Annie Crossland. She is survived by her loving husband, Carlton Ray Crossland; son, Chris Crossland; sisters: Norma Clark of Avinger, and Brooker McKinney of Linden; numerous nieces and nephews.
Our deepest Condolences to you all. Mrs. Ann was such a sweet lady. She had a smile and a soft voice. She was my boss it was a privilege to work for her.
My heart and prayers are with family. Ann was a beautiful person . She will be missed terribly.
We are sad to lose a high school classmate and friend of over 60 years. There were 8 in our graduating class and Ann is the fourth one to leave us. We are sad.

I am so sorry for your loss. Ann and I were best friends until I went to school in Hughes Springs and we lost contact. I know you will miss her. She was a very sweet person.
