Ernest Reynolds

Ernie took great pride in achieving his quest of a private pilot license. Often he would be in the sky sharing his joy of flying with family and friends.
Ernie was one of the founding members of the Knights of Columbus and held the office as Grand Knight from April 1969 to April 1970 in the local chapter of that organizatio. He served as an alderman from 1975 to 1979 and served two terms as Mayor of the City of Boscobel. In 1997 Ernie and Theresa retired to Linden, TX to be closer to their daughter, Cathy and her husband Ray Folyer and family and to escape the Wisconsin winters.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Theresa, sons James (Rebecca) Reynolds, Ernest Reynolds, Jr (partner Connie Kinyon), Terry Reynolds (friend Jennifer Vogler), and daughter Catherine (Ray) Folyer as well as ten loving grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Ernie is also survived by a brother, George (Ardith) Reynolds, sisters Beth Van Dyke, Lillian Larson, Joyce (Lyle) Fischer, and Rita (Don) Baumeister, brother-in-law Delbert Kroll, and half sister-in-laws, Ilyf Reynolds and Freda Reynolds and many nieces and nephews.
Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, George and Grace, sisters, Lorraine (Gary) Weber, Mary Doyle, and Ann Kroll, half brothers Bill Reynolds, Ray Reynolds, Kemeth Reynolds, Gaylord Reynolds, Tom (Neva) McKnight, half sister Eleanor McKnight and brother-in-law Phil Van Dyke.
A memorial Mass is being held at 10:00am Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Daingerfield, TX, with Fr. Francis ODowd officiating with burial in Our Lady of Pines Cemetery.
The family rquests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the memory of Ernest H Reynolds, Sr. to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
Say not in grief He is no more but live in the thankfulness that he was!
