Funeral services for Mrs. Ester Doddy Traylor will be at 1 p.m. Friday, December 8, 2006 at Shady Grove Christian Church, with the Rev. A.O. Sasser officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. A wake service will be held for Mrs. Traylor at the funeral home Thursday, beginning at 6 p.m. Mrs. Doddy died Saturday, Dec. 2 at a Tyler hospital. She was born August 31, 1922 to Joseph Doddy and Mattie Hurndon-Doddy. On December 26, 1938 she married Rubin Traylor of Cason Texas. To this union, eleven children were born. Ester spent her life raising her children and striving to live right before the Lord. She was a member of the Shady Grove Christian Church in Cason Texas. Her husband Rubin and son Billy proceeded her in death. Ester leaves to cherish her memory, Sons: R.T Traylor of Longview Texas, Sonny and Calvin Traylor of Dallas Texas, Larry Traylor of Quitman Texas, Eddie and Wayne Traylor of Cason Texas. Daughters: Betsy Duffey, Mildred Hanson and JoAnn Mathews of Cason Texas, and Patsy Lett of San Antonio Texas. One sister Lillian Newsome of Cason Texas, and two brothers: O.W. and Cecil Doddy of Cason Texas. Twenty-four grand children, Twenty-one great grand children, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
