Frances Lewis Parks, of Edinburg, VA, beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away on January 3, 2026, in Fairfax, Virginia, at the age of 64.

Born on November 20, 1961, in Lone Star, Texas, Frances spent her childhood in Hughes Springs, where she developed a lifelong appreciation for family, tradition, and community. She graduated from Hughes Springs High School and went on to build a career marked by precision, commitment, and integrity, working most of her adult life as an accountant. She loved all flowers and couldn’t pass up trying to save every one she found.

In October 1997, Frances married Robert “Scott” Parks. They moved many times over the course of their marriage experiencing and appreciating the beauty of our country and people all around . Her proudest role was as a mother to their daughter, Rebecca Parks, whom she cherished.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernie Lewis and Vida Davidson Lewis whose values of hard work and compassion she carried with her throughout her life.

She is survived by her husband Scott Parks; daughter, Rebecca Parks; her brothers, James Lewis and Stephen Lewis; and her sisters, Virginia Fretwell and Kate Johnson. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew and loved her.
