Fred Olin Traster, 75, of Marietta, Texas passed away July 28, 2019. Mr. Traster was born July 7, 1944 in Monroe, Michigan to Lloyd Traster and Myrtle Surine. Fred served his country proudly in the United States Army.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer and LeRoy Schaefer of Marietta, Texas; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Chase Moore, Wyatt Schaefer, Reagan Schaefer; two great-grandchildren, Grace and Landen; three brothers, Ed Traster (Dianna), Harold Traster (Kathy), Joe Traster and four sisters, Donna Green (Jim), Karen Traster, Gloria Susan Stoick (Jerry) and Linda Traster.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Chyrel Munson; brother, Carl Traster(Alice); two sisters, Betty Bernthal (Bud), and Esther Sylvester (Bob).
Services will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 3, 2019 in the Chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

Jenny, We wer so sorry to hear that your Dad passed away and had been sick so long. I don't know if its any comfort to your family right now but to know he won't suffer anymore and is once again with your Mom and Grandma and Grandpa will be a comfort to you. Praying for your family during these next few days and weeks.
You were an absolute saint putting up with all us teenage girls hanging around your home when we were in high school. Peace to you, and love to all who mourn you.
From day 1 Fred said he took you eggs I felt he had a connection when I went to meet you all. I knew right away it was Fred. A gentlemen and blessed man. I am blessed to have met him. Much love to your family
Chris and I will cherish the memories of Fred sitting at the Schaefer’s kitchen table when we’d stop by for coffee and great fellowship! Fred shared many of his service memories and of little Jennifer growing up! We love you Fred and know you are in the arms of the Savior and we will see you again!
