George T. Warren,88, of Linden passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015. Mr. Warren was born October 17, 1926 in Cass County, TX to Robert Warren and Essie Henderson Warren. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was also a retired teacher, a Mason and a member of New Colony Baptist Church. He is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Nita and Ronnie Jones of Linden, Sue Andersen of Linden, Brenda and Jerry Yates of Atlanta, Sandra Strutton of Texarkana; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and one sister, Corine King of California. He is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years Juanita Warren; one granddaughter, Kendra Strutton; one grandson, Mark Porterfield and one great-grandson, Tyler Porterfield. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 3, 2015 at New Colony Cemetery with Bro. David Hazelwood officiating. Burial under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home of Linden.
