Services for Glen Nichols, 86, of Lone Star will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Iron Bluff Cemetery with Bro. Rick Monds officiating. There will be a time of visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.

Elbert Glen Nichols was born March 19, 1937 in DeRidder, Louisiana to Elbert Nichols and Neva Reeves Nichols. He passed away May 6, 2023 at his home in Lone Star. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Nichols; parents; and three brothers-in-law, Marvin Wherman, Donald Tucker, and Bill Aills.

Glen is survived by his son, Jeffery Nichols of Lone Star; daughter, Dawn “Tugie” Lile and husband, James of Lone Star; sisters, Ruth Wherman of Marshall Town, Iowa, Geraldine Tucker of Gilmer, Texas, and Mary Pat Aills of Hallettsville, Texas; grandchildren, Tabatha Holland and husband, Chandler, Amber Nichols, Sheila Roach and husband, Dennis, and Steven Mott; great-grandchildren, Grayson Holland, Coltin Mott-Hays, Hamilton Roach, Whitley Roach, Etalee Roach, Steven Chandler-Mott, and Piper Mott.

The family wishes to extend a special, heart felt thank you to our “Aunt Debbie” and “Aunt Vickie” for their prayers and their love for us. Without them, we never would have made it through this difficult time. Also, thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice, Ashley, Jennifer, Robbie, and Ariel for caring for our Dad.
