Funeral services for Gloria Jean Jimmerson, 60, of Lone Star will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Hughes Springs with Apostle James Morrow officiating. Burial will follow at Mt Pilgrim Cemetery in Lone Star under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.

Mrs. Jimmerson was born December 18, 1956 in Gilmer, Texas to the parents of ONeal and Rozell Jackson, who preceded her in death. She passed away January 12, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. She attended school at Victory in Jefferson and completed her studies in Oakland, CA. She was also a devoted member of Murray League Baptist Church in Ore City.

Mrs. Jimmerson leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Terry Jimmerson of Lone Star; son, Jonathan Shepherd (Lisa) of Balch Springs; daughters, Chasity and Charity Jimmerson of Gilmer; siblings, Elmer (Vicki) of Vacaville, CA; Ronnie of Dallas, Calvin (Jani) of Lone Star, Rickey (Diane) of Lone Star, Kenneth of Lone Star, Bruce (Winifred) of Ore City, Marilyn (Larry) of Balch Springs, and Sharon of San Antonio; grandchildren, Shanequa Shepherd, Jacorey Shepherd, Jonathan Juwan Shepherd, Daydrion Jimmerson, Jontrell Lyles, Jr., JaCaria Birdine, Jackson J. Shepherd; and a great grandson, Messiah.

Mrs. Jimmerson will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Ore City.

  6. Gloria was a great friend and coworker. I thought the world of her. We didn't see each much the last few years but we did share messages. she suffered for many years that a lot of people didn't know and realize she was sick .she handled it with much grace. she never complained . She loved her family more than anything. My thoughts and prayers are with you'll .
