Graveside services for Harold Preston Biddy, 77, of Hughes Springs, will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Bro. Dennis OKeefe will be officiating. Harold was born August 5, 1936 and passed away May 23, 2014. He was a proud steel man and union member. He worked at Lone Star Steel for 30 years as a 1st helper. He was a veteran of the US Army where he served as a chef while he was stationed at Ft. Ord, California. He was a praying cowboy who loved his horses and cattle. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Jo Penecost Biddy; his parents, Elton Acuff Biddy and Lucille Perser Biddy; one daughter, Dana Jean Biddy; and two sisters, Sue Biddy OKeefe amd Jackie Biddy Phillips. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, DeLana Biddy Pierre and Mickey Keasler of Longview and Deresa Biddy and Bruce Baggett of Fort Worth; one grandson, Jackson Blake Pierre of Longview; one sister, Elaine Biddy Brabham of Hughes Springs; one brother Kenneth Ray Biddy of Jenkins; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces.

Harold, You will be greatly missed, especially our long phone chats. You was truly a wonderful friend. The memory of our younger days with the horse and buggy traveling from place to place helping our families which you was always known for. Those are treasured memories which will be in my heart forever. Thanks so much for sharing your daughters with me. Harold you were an inspiration in my life. You were the Dad that filed my life with a lot of happiness and joy.
