Funeral services for Mr. Hosea Morrow, 82, of Ore City will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Murry League Baptist Church in Ore City with Apostle James Morrow Officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Community Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City. Mr. Morrow will lie in State Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Hosea Morrow was born November 18, 1931 in Marion County, Texas, to the late Ethan Morrow and Ivory (Henderson) Morrow. Mr. Morrow attended Sun-view School in Ore City, Texas. He passed away January 23, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Morrow was employed with Brown & Ruth Company and Nelson Saw Mill both in Ore City, Texas. Hosea had a dream of owning his own Timber and Logging Company. Through this business he owned two logging trucks and a tractor. Hosea negotiated contracts for several timber companies. He was a member of Murry League Baptist Church. There he served as a faithful Deacon and Church Treasurer. Hoseas favorite devotion was with his family on Sunday Mornings was praying The Lords Prayer. Mr. Morrow was united in Holy Matrimony to Eva Mae Stevens, for sixty years until his death. He was preceeded in death by his parents, two sisters, and two brothers. He is survived by two sisters Estell Walter, Longview, Texas, Jonell Morrow, Ore City, Texas. Mr. Morrow also leaves to cherish his memories: one son Robert Morrow of Ore City, Texas; four daughters: Mary Ann Arthur (Daniel) of Omaha, Texas, Mary Louise Lilly(Emmanuel) of Longview, Texas, Cynthia Darlene Henderson (Jerry) of Ore City, Texas, Debbie Louise Hollins (Robert) of Longview, Texas; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by special friends Robert Lee Morrow, Dale Dewey, Carl Coverton, and Carl Rockwell.

  4. When the Lord calls our loved ones home, he leaves a gift of memories in exchange. I have good memories of Hosea when as a teen I worked at dad's Conoco Station and Garage in Ore City.
