Imogene Phillips Mathis

Funeral services for Imogene Phillips Mathis, 81, of Hughes Springs will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 18, 2013 at Reeder-Davis Chapel. Burial will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. of Hughes Springs. The family will receive visitors from 6 until 8 Thursday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Mathis was born August 22, 1931 and passed away January 15, 2013 in Hughes Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Allen Mathis. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Royce and Sherry Mathis, of Avinger; two daughters, Wanda Tamplain, of Houston, and Nancy Gail Duke, of Longview; three grandsons, Trevor Tamplain, of Tulsa, Charles Avery Duke, of Texas City, and Jesse Ray Duke, of Kenedy, Texas; three great grandchildren, Corbin, Tristin, and Gavin Duke. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to St. Lukes Children's Hospital.
