Services for Irene Huffman Worley, 88, of Lone Star, will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Reeder-Davis Chapel with Bro. Rick Monds officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of  Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. 

Irene was born May 21, 1933 to James Joseph Montgomery and Elois Lawson Montgomery and passed away on November 6, 2021. She was a long time member of Lone Star Baptist Church and a long time member of the Eastern Star. She was a talented seamstress and was always active in her children's activities. She was lovingly called Gram by her grandchildren and many others. 

Irene was preceded in death by her husbands, Wesley Huffman and A.R. "Bill" Worley; grandson, Anthony Capps; and six siblings.

She is survived by her children, Rick Huffman of Mt. Pleasant, Cynthia Capps and husband, Joey of Cedar Park, Texas, Sherita Strawbridge and husband Melvin of Lone Star; her grandchildren, Faith Huffman of Sulphur Springs, Ben Huffman and wife, Jennifer of Omaha, Dosha Huffman of California, Jeffrey Capps and wife, Angela of Austin, Aubrey Capps and husband, Chase Gilmore of Plano, Kyle Capps of Austin, Shane Strawbridge of Lubbock, Zachary Strawbridge of Hughes Springs, Jacob Gore and wife, Ashlee of Carrollton, LaShonda Lange and husband, Jim of Pearl, Mississippi; 17 great-grandchildren; 7 great great-grandchildren; brother, James Montgomery and wife, Becky of Duncanville; brother-in-law, Jerry Huffman and wife Jafaye of Tyler; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. 

There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family would love for donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association at 8180 Greensboro Drive, Suite 400, McLean, VA 22102 or online at www.alz.org/nca/donate.
