Irene McKinney

Irene McKinney, 87, of Linden passed away January 30, 2014. Mrs. McKinney was born March 26, 1926 to Clarence and Birdie Shew Hill. She was a member of Linden Garden Club, Ladies Auxiliary and The Helping Hands. She was also a Baptist by faith. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law Freddie and Judy McKinney of Longview, TX.; one daughter and son-in-law Freda and Wayne Powell of Linden, TX.; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. McKinney was preceded in death by her husband Ira T. (Mutt) McKinney; one daughter, Connie Brown; her parents, Clarence and Birdie Hill; two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, February 2, 2014, at the Reeder-Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Linden with Bro. Jerry McKellar officiating. Burial will follow in the Linden Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday February 1, 2014, at the funeral home.
