Services for Ivis Jeanette Eggar,78 of Avinger, will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Avinger with Bro. Bob Crowder officiating. Burial will follow at Avinger Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 6 until 8 Friday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Eggar was born May 30, 1937 in Drumright, Oklahoma and passed away September 28, 2015. She worked for many years as an LVN and was a member of First Baptist Church in Avinger. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Richard Dick Eggar. Survivors include five sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Micki Eggar, Jack and Donna Eggar, Bill and Nancy Eggar, Tom and Kathy Eggar, Michael and Yvonne Roberts; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and David Swan, and Ellen and Kelly Courtney; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

  4. I loved Ms. Ivis and had the pleasure of working with her for a short stent at Texas Tech in Odessa. She had a beautiful heart and lit up my day every day. Im so sorry for your loss and my prayers are with your family during this difficult time.
