James "Pudgie" Griffin

Funeral services for James Pudgie Griffin, 65, of Lone Star, will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs. Burial will follow at Clark Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 6 until 8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Griffin was born October 21, 1948 in Mt. Pleasant and passed away January 5, 2014 in a Longview hospital. Pudgie worked as a dispatcher for a trucking company and he loved sports. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Helen Griffin. He is survived by three sons, Daniel Griffin, of Longview, Michael Griffin and wife Christy, of Sulphur Springs, and Chris Griffin, of Daingerfield; his wife, Janet Griffin; six grandchildren, Ashton, Zachary, Joseph, Stephen, Shelbi, and Raelinn Griffin; two sisters, Gwen Knieff and husband Pat, of Daingerfield, and Gail Bradley, of Frisco; as well as several nieces and nephews.
