Memorial services for J. C. "Jake" Venable, 80, of Lone Star., will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Lone Star Baptist Church, with Bro. Rick Mond officiating. Mr. Venable was born September 27, 1932 and passed away October 6, 2012 at a Hughes Springs nursing facility. He is preceded in death by one son, Gregory Thomas Venable; his parents, John Henry and Alice Venable; one brother; three sisters; one grandson, James Venable; and one great grandson, Dustin. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Venable, of Lone Star; two sons, Roger C. Venable and wife Dora, of Mena, AR., and Chris Venable and wife Karla, of Ore City; three grandchildren, J. Lynn Kruger, Dottie Kunju, and Jonathan Venable; and five great grandchildren, Schuyler, Shelby, Summer, Destiny, and Daniel.

I ofen think of those days and wish I could go back just for a little while.Thank you and Mr Venable for being so good to me through the years. I love you both with all my heart.
