Jeffery Gene Hall

June 4, 1957 ~ June 24, 2018
Mr. Hall was born June 4, 1957 in Linden and passed away June 24, 2018 at his home in Avinger. Jeffery was a Scout Master for 10 plus years in the Boy Scouts and was a Vigil Honors member of the National Orders of Arrows. He was employed at Friedman Industries for 29 years, a active member in the Masonic Lodge and of Hickory Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his father, Coleman Hall.
He is survived by his wife, Teonna Hall; children: Kera Williams and husband, Chris, Kelly Childress and husband, Billy, Reps Hall and wife, Jessie, Kaitlin Gokey, Jaysen Putman, Jamie Locklear and husband, Logan, and Cody Jeffries; grandchildren: Trinity Williams, Ethan Williams, Reid Williams, Dustin Childress, Blain Childress, Riley Hall, Joannna Hall, Marshall Hall, Adin Gokey, Kylei Gokey, Remington Gokey, Jaycee Putman, Tripp Putman, and Jacob Jeffries; mother, Wanda Hall; brothers: Van Hall and wife, Donna, and Don Hall, and Pam; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Beams Bible Ministry, 15444 Duckworth Rd, Gulfport, MS 39503, or Pyland Cemetery, 33939 HWY 49 Avinger, TX 75630.
Our hearts go out to Jeff’s family. We pray for the peace and comfort of our Lord and Savior to cover you at this time.

I was so sad to hear that Jeff died. He and I served as assistant scout masters of Boy Scout Troop 557 in Jefferson, Texas when our sons were active in the scout troop. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Mr. Hall’s family, I am sorry for your loss: we read at Acts 17:27 ‘They who really seek God, find that he is not far off from each one of us. We can hold onto the hope that the injustice of death will end according to His promise at John 11:25 and 2 Peter 3:13.

So sorry to hear of Mr Hall’s passing. I have very fond memories with the Hall family through Scouting. He helped and encouraged many young man throughout their scouting years. My thoughts and Prayers for comfort are with Ms T. and the family.

Jeff’s example as a Christian man will always serve as a reminder in my heart.He lived his life the way I believe a man should .
Jeff was my cousin, a good friend and our brother in Christ. We will miss seeing his smiling face at church. We know where Jeff is today, it is us that are left behind that feel the pain of his passing, Jeff has no more pain. Teona, we will be praying for you in the coming days and weeks.
