HUGHES SPRINGS Funeral services for Jerel Winford Nelson, 72, will be 1:00 P.M., Monday, June 11, 2012 at Reeder-Davis Chapel with Bro David Badders officiating. Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Sunday, June 10, 2012 at the funeral home. Mr. Nelson was born August 23, 1939 and passed away June 7, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lodus Marion Nelson and Susie Mae Edwards; two brothers, J.W. Nelson and Marion Glenn; and four sisters, Clara Williams, Maddie Statny, Elma Thomas, and Dollie Pilgrim. Survivors include three sons, Eddie Nelson and wife Carla, of Longview, Texas, Hank Nelson and Jerry Britton and wife Danyl, all of Ore City, Texas; six grandchildren, Bailee, Dalton and Jordan Nelson, Brandon Cooper, Jaidyn Britton, and Donovyn Black; a great friend Old Woman Gladys Reynolds; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eddie, Hank and JJ–so sorry for your loss. Eddie- I am glad you and Carla were able to spend his last days with him, I know that made him happy and he knew he was loved. Call me if there is anything we can do.
Sorry for your loss Mr.Dink was love by me and was truly my favorite Uncle.
Mr. Dink always had gum in his shirt pocket for me as a girl, usually Juicy Fruit. It's been many, many years since I've seen Mr. Dink, but he will always remain a treasured uncle. So sorry for your loss.
