Jesse Lee Magana

April 30, 1991 ~ May 1, 2023

Jesse Lee Magaña, 32, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023, one day after his birthday, at his home in Marshall, Texas. A graduate of Linden-Kildare High School, Mr. Magaña was born in Marshall on April 30, 1991 and lived in the Linden and Jefferson area until the wildfires of 2011 claimed the family’s homes.

He was preceded in death by his “Pawpaw and Mawmaw”, George and Ruie Owen of Linden; grandparents, Jesus and Dolores Magaña; and his mother, Lou Ella Owen-Magaña of Linden.

He is survived by his father, Frank Magaña; brother and sister-in-law, Franco and Christina Magaña; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Although he had many jobs since his teenage years, he would always tell you the ones he was most proud of was caretaking for his grandfather and mother.

A warm, caring and gentle soul, anyone that knew him or ever spent any time around him would agree that his giving nature and kindness could not be matched by anyone. He loved family, friends, animals and helping out anyone he could help. The world was always a better place when he was a part of it. Heaven has received a wonderful soul. He will be forever loved and truly missed.

There will be a private family burial at Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe account has been created, or you may make a donation directly to the funeral home, or contact Christina Magaña for alternate options.  All donations made are gratefully appreciated and will go directly towards Jesse’s final resting.
