Jimmy Don Burkhalter, 52, of Linden passed away on March 17, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.  Mr. Burkhalter was born June 25, 1967 in Dallas, Texas to Ted Burkhalter and Marsha Lee Burkhalter.  Jimmy loved hunting, fishing, playing horseshoes but mostly he loved spending time with his granddaughter, Lainey.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Christy Burkhalter of Linden; children, Marsha and Michael Fuller, Ricky Burkhalter and Lauren Bean all of Linden; granddaughter, Lainey Fuller; brother, Phillip and Shelley Burkhalter of Texarkana, Texas; father, Ted Burkhalter of O'Farrell; sister-in-law, Lori Peyton; brother-in-law, Daniel Burkhalter and wife Kathryn; fathers-in-law and mothers-in-law, Danny and Brenda Burkhalter, Sammy and Regina Moulton and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and lots of friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Marsha Lee Burkhalter and one brother, Paul Woodruff.

Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Cross Creek Cowboy Church in Atlanta, Texas and under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home.

  5. I have so many childhood memories of Jimmy Don. Even though I was younger, he would always let me tag along. Can’t remember ever seeing him without a smile on his face. We’ve lost a good one too soon. He will be missed by so many

Jimmy YOU will be missed by ALL of US who knew as the some what horseplayer YOU and OLD Woody thought YOU it wasn't that YOU were better than Mickey Tom and I it was jus because WE were alot OLDER than y'all IT'S gonna to hard not seeing YOU around but I know your not in pain anymore and your NAME has been changed SO GO REST HIGH ON THAT MOUNTAIN SON YOUR WORK ON EARTH IS DONE

  8. Jimmy worked with us several years ago. We all loved him and he was a good worker. I didn't know he had passed away until a couple days ago. I know you will miss him
