John Paul Russell

Funeral services for Mr. John Paul Russell, 41, of Tyler, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Pinecrest Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Corinth Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. There will be a time of visitation with family and friends beginning one hour prior to service time Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the church.

John Paul was born November 30, 1984, in Linden, Texas, to John and Kathy Whatley Russell. He loved listening to his radio and enjoyed music, which brought him much comfort and happiness throughout his life. John Paul passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Texarkana, Texas.

He is survived by his parents, John David and Kathy Russell; one brother, Ben Russell; one sister, Julia Russell; one niece, Claire Russell; and one nephew, Aiden Russell. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Shirley and Ed Hargett; his uncles and aunts, Marty and Pam Whatley, Wayne and Lindy Russell, and Jimmy and Amy Holland; along with many other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to his caregivers in Tyler and to Hospice of Texarkana for the compassionate care shown to John Paul.
