John is survived by one daughter, Claudia Watkins and husband Lewis of Hughes Springs; one son, Al Ellis of Ore City; five grandchildren, Bruce Beekman and wife Tammie of Longview, Tracy Beekman of Crandall, Lisa Strickland and husband Shannon of Hughes Springs, Robert Duncan and wife Kasey of Washington, and Alana Duncan of Oregon; two sisters, Maxine Beckett of Hughes Springs and Erma Dean Moore and husband Don of Kansas; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great greatgrandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
