Juanita Schmid, 78, of Linden, passed away January 29, 2014 at her home. Juanita was born March 26, 1935 in Reagan, TX., to Grady Hunt and Alma Smelcer Hunt. She worked as a medical transcriptionist. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, John Schmid; one daughter. Joni Lee Minton (Rudy); two sons, John David Schmid (Valerie), Jerry Glen Schmid (Shelley); one sister, Brenda Kaye Hunt; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Schmid was preceded in death by her parents Grady and Alma Hunt and brother Grady Hunt, Jr. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday February 1, 2014, at The Linden Church of Christ, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home of Linden. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Linden Church of Christ.

  3. I had the privilege of working with Juanita and the Clinic for many years. We laughed, we cried, we shared our family stories. I so remember every summer at the farm and how much she looked forward to it….heck…we all looked forward to hearing about those precious grandchildren. My prayers to all the family. She was a beautiful spirit in my life.
