Judy Stone Crawford, 75, of Linden passed away January 3, 2019.  Ms. Crawford was born January 26, 1943 in Linden, Texas to Paul Stone and Sara Fant Stone.  Judy graduated from Linden High School, and East Texas State University in Commerce, with a Master’s Degree in Education.  She taught elementary students for years but her true love was playing her piano.  She played nearly everyday at her home and this past year Rose Haven retreat nursing home in Atlanta.  Judy will be missed greatly and was dear to many hearts.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Eddie Aleman of Linden, TX;  brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Brenda Stone of Baytown, TX; niece, Lee Jayne Stone of Hermitage, TN; nephew, Heath and Erin Stone, their daughters, Avery and Morgan Stone of Commerce City, CO; uncle, D.D. Baldwin of Linden, TX., and many cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Sara Stone and sister, Sylvia Stone.

Services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 6, 2019 in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs with Bro. Charles Russell officiating.  There will be a private family burial following the service.

  4. I am so sorry to hear of Judy’s passing. She was a wonderful person. I always loved playing the piano with her on the organ at the First Baptist Church. I will remember her smiles.
