Services for Mr. Kenneth Dannelley, 69 of Cornett, will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Cross Roads Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Cornett Cemetery , under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Dannelley was born September 24, 1946 in Atlanta, Texas and passed away November 29, 2015 in Hughes Springs. He served in the U.S. Army and was a cattle rancher and worked as a welder. He was preceded in death by his father, O.K. Dannelley. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Brenda; mother, Alpha Dannelley; daughters, Pam Higgins, Melinda Moore and husband Chantz; son, William Dannelley and wife Brooke; seven grandchildren, Brittany, Brenda, Landon, Mallory, Dawson, Tessa, and Wyatt; five great-grandchildren, Hannah, Levi, Andrew, McKenna, and Braxton; sisters, Judy Kennedy and Sybil Grace; and brother, Alvin Dannelley. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at http://www.alz.org.

  7. Kenneth was one of the kindest guys in our class! He was quiet, but I always felt like he generally cared when he hugged me hello or I saw him out and about! His suffering is over! Brenda, you have been a wonderful wife and friend to Kenneth! He couldnt have asked for anyone better. We loved him and know that his life on earth is over, but his real life is just begun!! God bless him!

Just a few are listed below:- the honor in serving his country – the value of hard work- the twinkle in his eye- the genuine smile that lit up his face- the commitment, love, and devotion to those he loved- the pure joy he showed at Christmas He will always be remembered with love.
