Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I’m the oldest son of Senior Walker (son of Lue and Lloyd Walker) and the oldest Grandson of the late Lue and Lloyd Walker. I have fond memories of LD’s visits to my Grandparents Lue and Lloyd Walker in the Midway area east of Eldorado in the 1950s. LD’s visits always included some type of hunting or fishing adventure with he and my Granddad. LD and my Granddad always had time for a few games of checkers. Both thought they were world champions and the talk between the two was always amusing to me. The special relationship between LD, Lue and Lloyd was special, and will always be remembered. Rest In Peace….Rodney Walker

  2. Just a note to say we are thinking of you, with our love and prayers. Thankful Dona brought L.Dee to see us 2years ago. Very special. Elbert has Dementia and Senior has ankle problems, so you came when the ‘Cousins’ could really enjoy their time together. Wish we were there with you. Elbert/Carolyn

  3. My father Elbert and L Dee are first cousins and grew up together near Eldorado, OK. I only saw L Dee a handful of times in my life but he made a lasting impression on me. He always had such a positive attitude and never let anything get in his way of accomplishing what he wanted to do. Life was certainly not always easy for him but I have never known him to complain. He is an inspiration to us all. To a life well lived rest in peace I am so glad to call you part of my family.

  4. Your touch my life at a time in my life when I did not know how to move forward in my life and then I saw all your courage and triumph in your life and it will forever change my thinking through the tough times and the forever friends I’ll have in my life . Love you Mr. Tallent … thank you ( caregiver)

  5. My dad, the late Maburn Walker, and L Dee were first cousins. My grandparents were Lue and LLoyd Walker. Growing up L Dee and my Dad’s family spent a lot of time together and were very close. We have many pictures of them together. I always admired L Dee for his resourcefulness and tenacity facing the many obstacles put in his life. As kids we visited him in his home in California and Arkansas. I recall the story of him riding a mule up the mountain carrying pipes for a water line. He was very intelligent obtaining a law degree from OU. He visited my Dad in the VA Hospital in OKC when he was going in for surgery. He lead a full life. May he now find peace and rest.

  6. What a great man and an inspritation! Hughes Springs and Avinger were blessed to have him for the many years.

  7. I will remember Great Uncle LDee by one word "Perseverance"! He was a strong man yet humble. He knew our Lord Jesus! God called him back home to the rest of his family in Heaven. We Praise God for beautiful loving friends and caregivers who cared for him! Thank you!
